Privacy notice
This notice explains how GenEQTY Inc. (“GenEQTY”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit geneqty.com or contact us. It covers this website only. GenEQTY’s API services are provided to business partners under separate agreements, which govern any data processed through them.
Who we are
GenEQTY Inc. is a Delaware corporation and the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us at partnerships@geneqty.com .
What we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you include, such as your organization, role and message.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, and date and time. We use these logs to operate and secure the site.
- Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore sends your IP address and browser information to Google when a page loads. Google’s handling is described in its privacy policy.
The site has no forms, accounts or advertising. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking technologies. If that changes, we will update this notice first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiries and arrange briefings.
- To manage and develop business relationships with the organizations we work with.
- To keep the site secure and working, including detecting and preventing misuse.
- To meet legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on our legitimate interests in running our business and answering correspondence, on legal obligations where they apply, and on your consent where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that host the site and run our email, under contracts that limit their use of it.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, under duties of confidentiality.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights, safety and security.
- A successor or counterparty in a financing, merger, acquisition or other corporate transaction, subject to confidentiality.
International transfers
GenEQTY is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in other countries. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we use safeguards recognized by law, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to respond and manage the relationship, and then as long as the law or legitimate business record-keeping requires. Server logs are kept only for a limited period, unless needed to investigate a security issue.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy.
- Correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent you have given.
- Receive it in a portable format.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
California and other US state residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it; to access, correct and delete it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we treat Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email partnerships@geneqty.com. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to this site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for business audiences. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Other websites
The site links to other websites, such as cited research. Their own privacy practices apply when you visit them.
Changes to this notice
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will make that clear here.
